Recognized for being the most popular platforms for customization in their segment, the Ford Mustang, Scion FR-S, Jeep Wrangler and Ford F-Series trucks have each just won been awarded a SEMA “hottest car” award.
“The SEMA Award helps guide consumers toward the hottest-trending and most accessory friendly vehicles on the market,” said Chris Kersting, SEMA president and CEO.
To find the winner of each award, a tally is taken at every SEMA booth adding up which cars are on display. The most prominently displayed car in a given segment is then presented with the award.
This is the first year for the Scion FR-S at SEMA, though its win is no surprise due to the car’s popularity. The Ford F-Series and Jeep Wrangler are repeat winners from last year, while the Ford Mustang takes the crown from one of its largest rivals, the Chevy Camaro.
